EP – The Japanese House ‘Swim Against the Tide’

The Japanese House – Swim Against the Tide

The closest thing I know to a Japanese House is a dojo. And it’s full of very large men in just their pants.

This Japanese House is called Amber Bain. She is not.

From Buckinghamshire to Camden. A classic move. On that journey alone, one’s life lessons increase markedly – which is why Amber’s music is so full of heart tugging emotion.

Like a carrot that can juggle, she’s clearly a raw talent. Mix Imogen Heap, London Grammar and Lorde and you’ll end up with pretty much the same thing…

Which is what The Japanese House is. But that’s okay – because she’s awesome.

The EP is short enough to keep me entertained, even though the whole thing sounds quite similar throughout.

The title track is definitely going on a playlist…

Rating: One to watch, fo sho.
